We ask Top Frontier Investment Holdings, Inc. president and CEO Ramon S. Ang, in our exploration of how far we have come since the Manila Bulletin started chronicling our pivots and progress as a nation and as a people 125 years ago and his answer is ‘yes,’ we’ve come very far indeed

Despite the challenges we continue to face, there are still a lot of reasons to say that life is better. Advancements in technology and improved infrastructure have revolutionized how we stay connected. Today, reaching out to loved ones—anytime, anywhere—is simpler. With greater access to information and new ways to communicate, more Filipinos feel empowered to take action and make a difference. Acts of kindness are not just happening, they’re being seen.

With greater access to information and new ways to communicate, more Filipinos feel empowered to take action and make a difference.

During calamities, we’ve seen how quickly people come together—not just big organizations or charities, but everyday Filipinos of all ages and backgrounds offering help, supporting causes, and creating a ripple of positive impact.

I am especially encouraged by how kindness and generosity have become second nature to so many of our young people today, whether through small gestures or big efforts.

This gives me so much hope for the future, knowing that life will only get better for everyone.
