Fashion designer Randy Ortiz recalls the many years the Manila Bulletin watched him make his mark and establish his niche and celebrates a better life by sticking to his core and focusing his energy on being content
Since I was growing up, the Manila Bulletin was the premier broadsheet, a household name, a familiar fixture, and a daily companion of our parents and the whole family for many, many years. I am one of many who can say that the Manila Bulletin has been part of my early years, including the years I was busy making my mark as a young designer and the more than three decades later, during which I have established my niche in Philippine fashion.
I am one of many who can say that the Manila Bulletin has been part of my early years, including the years I was busy making my mark as a young fashion designer.
In the modern world, 125 years since Manila Bulletin was born, life has become better, especially for me now that I have decided to focus my energy on being content, sticking to my core and enjoying the humble aspirations I have accomplished in the fast pace of the last many years, ever changing because of technology. Today, I continue to thrive for my brand and, more important, in my personal life, shielding my mental and spiritual health from all the noise outside.
For that and many more, I can truly say with a grateful heart that my life is blessed and truly better.
