Inspiring a new generation of agribusiness owners

Winning the Manila Bulletin UPLIFT Award (MSMEs Category) is remarkable. It helps our farm and agribusiness in many ways. One of the greatest parts of being the awardee is having a lot of visitors on our farm who buy our fresh produce and other agri-related products.

This testament only shows that every award we receive brings a corresponding positive impact to our agribusiness. It has also led to tremendous improvements on our farm, especially in selling our value-added products. Embracing agriculture is the best decision I ever made in my life, as the Department of Agriculture has helped us improve both the quality of our produce and our quality of life.

Zennor Hydroponics Farm management is truly grateful to the people who have contributed to our success in farming. We are constantly innovating our farming methods. Proper management, suitable technologies, and the dedication of great farm workers have allowed us to achieve results beyond words.

The journey has not been straightforward; it has been filled with uneven surfaces along the way. I have had many moments of pause and reflection—self-assessment has been my guide in determining the best actions to take, the best ways to improve, and in embracing both the good and not-so-good experiences.

The recognition and award from Manila Bulletin have been an eye-opener for us and the people around me. Running a small business in agriculture has given us more confidence and a sense of sustainability. No matter how small the business, with hard work, smart strategies, and perseverance, we can achieve incredible things as we move forward.

As I walk the path of the agriculture industry in the MSME sector, I feel both excited and fascinated, knowing that countless challenges lie ahead and many ups and downs await to be navigated.

Working in agribusiness is not only challenging but also deeply inspiring. It strengthens my resolve to stand up and achieve something that we can all be proud of.

I am proud to be a breadwinner, product innovator, and agri-advocate. These roles reflect my life’s journey, proving that no matter what challenges arise, agriculture matters, business matters, and life matters. I will always continue my advocacy, believing that farming in the Philippines is world-class. I say this with confidence, knowing that many foreign nationals have traveled thousands of miles to visit and learn from our farm.

To my fellow farmers, growers, MSME owners, and others in small, related businesses, remember that your time will come. Keep praying, working hard, and embracing whatever circumstances come your way.
