There are a lot of challenges that Filipinos face especially when it comes to healthcare. From accessibility, quality, affordability, and even judgment on controversial topics, it has been a struggle for Filipino women to find proper information and trusted resources to get the quality care that they deserve.

I wanted to provide a new experience that will allow women to understand the importance of prioritizing their physical and mental wellbeing. Through Kindred’s mission of elevating health for women, we were able to find solutions that address multiple issues that we face as a society.

As the first women-centric omnichannel clinic in the Philippines, Kindred has been able to create an avenue for women that allows them to experience the convenience that they need when it comes to addressing their health concerns without the worry of being judged or dismissed by healthcare providers. We have been making a lot of progress and innovations in the women’s healthcare space and have been applying a lot of learnings from our clients and partners, such as:

– Expanding our own network of physical spaces so we can reach more women not only in Metro Manila but across the Philippines. We have just opened a new Kindred clinic in Laguna this January and we are launching our Pampanga and Cebu clinics this February.

– Consultations are made easy as we offer online options through the Kindred website, giving women the much needed access to specialists and other healthcare professionals in the comfort of their own home. We also take pride in providing in-clinic/in-person services through our physical clinics across the metro, offering services that range from health screenings (such as consultations, pap smears, ultrasounds), and preventive services such as vaccinations, contraceptives and more.

– Increasing public awareness on different women’s health concerns such as cervical cancer and its common cause (HPV), and providing the much needed vaccination services through our physical clinics.

– Additionally, through our initiatives, we are able to reach communities with the Kindred Karavan by fostering the goal of bringing the resources of quality healthcare to more Filipinos. It provides them with the knowledge to understand the simple importance of taking care of their health and wellness.

– Enhancing our technological capabilities to be able to provide the best possible experience for our clients. The Kindred mobile app is available on iOS/App Store and Android/Google Play and have continued to improve our web platformwww.mykindred.co to meet our clients needs and wants.

– Making corporate programs available for employers to fit and tailor to the specific healthcare needs of their employees.

As Kindred continues to grow, we aim to continue to empower Filipino women through enhancing our services and expanding our reach in order to shift the stigma on discussing our physical and mental wellbeing. With the continuous efforts of breaking down the barriers in our society, we can continue to create a future allowing women to confidently navigate themselves and understand that the quality care that they need is right here.
